Some advice please. I live in a big city with lots of buildings and I don't want to lose it due to lost signal or something.

I'd say find a less congested area to fly in. I live in a suburb outside NYC which has primarily single family houses and still have interference issues beyond 150 meters or so.

Always keep line of sight to the drone, don't fly behind buildings as it will block the signal, also make sure antenna's are orientated correctly
