After updating my Mavic, which went ok, I put in the second battery thinking it would need to be updated however when I start the app it says it is checking the firmware and then goes away as if everything is all good. Do I not also need to update my second battery and the controller this update?

Controller needs to be updated to 01.03.0400, I don't believe batteries received an update this go round. If batteries need an update the DJI GO 4 app will let you know. You can check firmware versions of Mavic and RC by going into General Setting, then About.

Thank you. According to the video then I should be ok. When I placed my second battery in the Mavic and started everything it did not give any message saying the firmware was not consistent between the three components.
