However, even though the power bank is rated at almost 60,000 mAh, after 3 battery recharges it's already drained the entire battery. The
MA2 batteries are 3500 mAh.
Huge power losses.
This is going to be hard to overcome, and require a large bank as you found.
At what stage do you just buy and take extra drone batteries ?
Usually these will weigh less, and be much more travel friendly.
Especially if considering a solar panel, which are still a lot less efficient again for power generation, and require good direct sunlight.
If car / base camping, this wouldn't be so bad, as you can control position through the day, although it requires attention rather than totally immersing yourself off grid.
If walking trails etc, then it's really a waste of time as you will be using a very small panel on a backpack, getting low angles and shade at times, and still all you can do is recharge the power bank, then the power losses charging battery one at a time.
A worthy objective (I'm a bushwalker that takes 6 batts for the M1P) and one that's been the subject of many threads here over the years . . .
These should give you an idea of what's been tried, what might work in some off grid situations, what doesn't work, etc.
Hello guys, So here's the thing, I currently am heading for a 10 days hike. One of the most beautiful in the world (so they say) in the peruvian Andes and I definitely want to be able to film that. So, I want to be able to charge my mavic batteries on the go with the help of the Sun. So, if I...

I like hiking and sometimes my hikes are lasting for more than a few days, I just bought my MPP and I was looking for ways to take it with me, the biggest challenge is to charge the batteries away from home or car. So, the only possibility I've found so far is to take a car jump starter (12V...

Hello all, I know this has been asked before in one form or another but I guess it needs to be asked once more; so here goes. I have a 84.4Wh portable power bank I use for powering a small telescope. It can output a consistent 12V DC @3000mA. And I can get the below charging cable from amazon...

This could be a long shot but does anyone have experience with using smart power banks for
MA like the generic one pictured here? It looks like the branded Anbee one but it’s not branded, still 25000 mAh supposedly, and fairly cheap on that auction site. I would get Anbee but shipping not...

Has anyone found a way to charge there DJI equipment off grid? I’m planning a trip where there’s no electricity I thought about foldable solar panels but haven’t figured out a way to use it to charge the batteries! Maybe a car charger would work of a 14v cell? But I don’t know if they have...

So since I've gotten my phantom 3 and now Mavic, I've been looking for a portablish way to be able to recharge my batteries after flights. Some fields your not close to your car so can't rely on the car charger (even though I've had mostly misses with the Mavic one). So I've ventured into...
