How about "Drone", by common usage it is the common name. ............."If it ain't broke don't fix it"
They know there's absolutely nothing they can do about it.Why are they not purplexed when a helicopter flies overhead?
Nope. They're drones. That ship has sailed.I brought this topic up years ago, as the word Drone started to be Dragged thur the mud by the Media .
I suggested that a Petition be started to change the Name to Droneling or Quadling letting people know immediately the size and nature of the Drone in Question .
If there really was power behind a signed Petition it might be worth getting it changed.
1. Stop lying to the Public
2. Harassment has increased of those flying a Droneling because of the Negative Association the Media has created
3. The Media is lazy and do a very poor job at defining there Drama causing a very distorted picture.
My conclusion was simple that Trend was in place as to NOT put DJI in a good light an were Content with the Shadow's they created around DJI
In other words if the word Drone were to ever cause someone to smile and get excited , it would also shine light on DJI and well that is just not going to happen as the word Drone was Dumped on hard

It’s not what we call them that matters but it’s what we do with them that does. Therefore regardless of what they are called fly legally and respectfullyDrone Service Providers Alliance, Drone Advocacy Alliance, FAA Drone Zone, FAA Drone Pro, Pennsylvania Drone Association, and many others. Accept and educate. Don't let semantic infiltration ruin our names.
