We've likely created a small industry for reselling drones in South Korea

I do but obviously they are changing what these links point to.
You've only been sharing links that point to the main shared Amazon listings. To get a link that goes to a specific seller, you'd need to visit that seller's store and find the item there. That link will always take people to that seller instead of the current buy box, which is what happens with the links you've been sharing.

The only problem with that is that the current PLUS combo for $1159 is not listed on the listed seller's Storefront, and is fulfilled by Amazon, while the Prime overnight STANDARD Combo is an A to Z Guarantee ONLY, shipped and sold by the seller, not shipped by Amazon.

Amazon is deliberately making it impossible to share the good deals, turning shared links of the Buy Box into Bait and Switch, and is confusingly conflating Prime with "shipped by Amazon," when it is, in fact, being shipped by the Marketplace seller, where the only recourse is the lousy A to Z Guarantee.

Here is the ONLY link available to share for the very best deal of $1159 for the PLUS Combo shipped by Amazon so no crappy A to Z Guarantee, but you won't get it until Dec 14-Dec 22.

It only links to the DECEPTIVE "Buy Box" so you must unselect the featured rip off of the $1599 Standard Combo, and Reselect the $1159 PLUS COMBO in the lower left instead!

Don't fall for the complete ripoff Regular Combo being sold "Prime overnight" for $450 more at $1599, covered ONLY by the lousy, worthless A to Z Guarantee! It is NOT the PLUS version, and is not fulfilled by Amazon!

The deals you mentioned above are no longer available right now, but they might come back later. That means they also won't be listed in those stores.

It looks like the sellers offering the best deals don't keep very big inventories.

The $1,159 deal for the Plus version from AirFoto is still there right now. To find it, you need to do what @GadgetGuy said which is to uncheck the Buy Box for the staffers version in the link he provided and select the PLUS version, then go down to where it says “Other sellers on Amazon”, click on it and you’ll see the $1,159 deal. This deal is not listed in the AirFoto store.

Wow, that went quick. I picked up one more to keep as another spare for us.

This is definitely something a person has to keep their eye on with the ongoing changes in inventory, pricing, etc. Hopefully this deal will be back at some point today for anyone else wanting to take advantage of it.

I’ve used the Amazon ‘set price alert’ feature in the past for other items, but I can’t recall how quickly the alerts happen in relation to the price dropping below the target price.

Do you know if the alerts happen pretty much instantly as soon as the current price meets the target price?

And now Air Foto has the RC 2 Plus Combo back in stock here in their store. I'm sure this will be gone soon though.

I think that was my point, for the average Amazon customers, there's no way to nail this down so unless you're really good, you'll probably end up paying more. Much easier to go to eBay or Aliexpress where they don't do it like this. It's still a little confusing to me, why don't I run into the same issues when I buy other products on Amazon?

Because you're buying from sellers with much larger inventories, and the supply probably outweighs the current demand.

one thing, and it may have been mentioned....I saw people mentioning Amazon's return policy. Be cautious with 3rd party sellers like the ones for DJI drones. Those returns go back to the 3rd party seller and they can charge a restocking fee

apparently, one of the sellers of the Mavic 4, NorthFront, has been charging insane restocking fees, including as high as 100%

Does this include “fulfilled by Amazon” sales or just shipped from the 3rd party seller directly

if it's fulfilled by Amazon I'd think that's a good guarantee

if the product description says it's shipped by Amazon, that would mean fulfilled by Amazon

You missed the point that the best deal price from Air Foto in the Buy Box was NOT listed on Air Foto's Storefront, as you erroneously said it would be, so there is no way for @mavic3usa, or me, or anyone else to provide a direct link to the actual offering at the specific price found to share it!

Amazon retains full control over the Buy Box link, and changes the prices and terms and Combo packages at their whim, DELIBERATELY CREATING BAIT AND SWITCH offers!

Wrongly conflating Prime with Fulfilled by Amazon, and hiding the real best deals in obscure details, while inflating the prices on the worst deals to make them seem like they "must be Plus batteries" because the price is so high! WRONG!

Amazon is truly fully responsible for all this confusion, using these scammy Chinese 3rd Party Resellers with HORRIBLE CRITICAL REVIEWS as sources for a few deals fulfilled by Amazon, while policing them carefully, but leading the unsophisticated lambs to the slaughter whenever the A to Z Guarantee is the only coverage, even when it is shipped as Prime overnight, but NOT BY AMAZON!

^^ @Riptide These are the Plus battery kits so this is an excellent deal for any American entrepreneur willing to take the risk.

Sounds like the word is getting out to foreign seller they might not be able to list and/or ship DJI drones dispatched to US residents. Time to unload as many as possible with 3 weeks to go.

That has nothing to do with it. This is Amazon exploiting highly demanded items, and blatantly engaging in Bait and Switch, hiding the best deals, and actively promoting the very worst third party sellers by falsely claiming that all the A to Z Guarantee issues were Amazon's fault because Amazon fulfilled the order, which they clearly did not, because if they had, the very complaints listed and struck out under CRITICAL REVIEWS would not exist. So, Amazon is in bed with these scammy sellers, leading the innocent customers to the slaughter!

These resellers charge 50-100% restocking fees, lie about never receiving the product back, ship the wrong item, are selling used returned items as new, and generally behaving like a ripoff seller! Yet Amazon is promoting their A to Z recourse as Prime deal fulfilled by the seller, not Amazon!

If the seller is shipping the item, even if Prime overnight, you are SCREWED! The only recourse is the A to Z Guarantee where restocking fees an apply and the seller can set ANY POLICY they want!

The only way Amazon's return policy applies is if Amazon is listed as the shipper, even if the estimated delivery is 10-14 days away.

Do not fall for Prime where the seller is listed as the shipper!

Personally, I will never deal with Amazon again on a DJI purchase. They are completely corrupt and enabling your being SCREWED!

@GadgetGuy I’m not getting pulled into another trap. You have a real knack for baiting people with nonsense, and I’m not interested in being part of that. So forgive me for not replying to you.

this is the important point: only consider products shipped by Amazon. That means they are fulfilled by Amazon and that is the only way you can be protected by Amazon's return and refund policy

I forgive you, but it's neither a trap nor nonsense. We just have differing opinions of Amazon. I don't trust them at all. You want to paint them in the best light, and assume that all problems are always the customer's fault, rather than deliberately created by Amazon because Amazon directly benefits from the bait and switch, and the so called "Buy Box" that Amazon creates, that prevents anyone from linking to a good deal, which is a deliberately created trap for the unwary and average unsophisticated buyer, who ends up paying a much higher price from a crooked third party seller, covered only by the worthless A to Z Guarantee, where the unscrupulous seller can freely charge 50-100% restocking fees, and get away with it, and then have the customer complaint deleted by Amazon!
