Hi gang! I'm new - so bear with me. I'm a professional photographer, and was trained in Lightroom and Photoshop - editing there is often a bit of a maze, but worth it. I know there are simpler, easier programs for decent results - certainly stuff with less of a learning curve. So if I'm only going to put a toe in the water for now with video, what software do you recc? I know on a PC I'm looking at Premiere Pro as an industry standard, but would its Elements version be a good start? Or something else, something more intuitive if I'm merely looking to have some fun with video with family and friends? Thanks in advance!

for Photos......... Snapseed. It’s free and really great to start with.

Thanks! I'm pretty well set with Lightroom and Photoshop for photos. It's whether to go all-in with Premiere or whether there's something the group finds more intuitive while still making decent, albeit sub-pro level productions.

I would suggest you start with the free ones and check the results. I've seen some videos edited in free software that looks really cinematic.

i use dxo pro optics for my olympus camera raw files, i use light room for my sony a7iii raw files but my new fave software is "luminar" what a full featutered software, incredible noise removal with plugin noisless, unfortunatly if i had to choose one of the 3 it would be lightroom as its the only one of the 3 that can merge panoramas wich i use often
