So now that I have the Mavic I am putting together a grab and go kit to cover most if not all my photo/video needs. I picked up the Manfrotto Gearpack medium backpack, which is a great smallish bag to carry the Mavic and it's accessories along with a camera. I haven't taken the plunge on a new camera yet so maybe some can offer up some advice based on their experience.

My current camera is an old Canon 30d so obviously it isn't going to work (no video capabilities among other things).

I think I've narrowed my decision down to two choices. The Sony RX10 mk3, or either a Sony a6500 or 6300 with the 18-105 lens. Among those two choices I tend to lean towards the RX10 due to its price and capabilities, but man I really like the a6500.

Is this like a Bugout Backpack? where you grab everything you'll need to document the Apocalypse?
