What camera settings would I use to get a blurred effect with a mavic pro..
I guess that’s what it’s called..
I will be shooting my towns lights at night and want different effect
If you are wanting moving lights to show as streaks, you need a slow enough shutter speed to allow the light to move while the shutter is open.
Slower shutter speed = longer streaks.
If you are shooting at night, you will already be using a slow shutter speed.

Thanks Meta4,
I will try this tomorrow night.
Would it enhance the effect if moving?
What about sport mode?

I went out tonight and tried the settings.
I could see the streaks of light and got the desired effect.
I snapped of a good many pics, maybe 20.
Came back and went to take a look and I have no pics in album or anywhere..
WTH..

If it's a Mavic Pro (or Platinum), there are no manual settings to slow your shutter enough for this.
You will usually need a really high spec ND filter, at least an ND64, but better even higher.

I guess you got what you liked, but it'll be interesting to see your photos when you get them uploaded.

If you search here for > photo blurred lights < and similar terms, you will find quite a few threads, posts with photos.

Here's the result from the above search, pick through those, there are even ones asking specially about car lights . . .

This doesn't sound right at all.
The camera will shoot as slow as 8 seconds which is quite likely more than enough.
You might use a heavy ND filter to shot long exposures of a waterfall in bright daylight.
But you definitely would not want to use the filter at night for light trails.

I don't do much night shooting to have good examples but this is similar enough for illustration.
DJI_0246a-L.jpg

In this accidental shot, the blur was mostly caused by camera movement but the cars in the lower right are also moving,
The exposure was 1/2 sec at F4 and 150 ISO with no filter at all
An ND64 filter would cut 98% of the light.
