ND Filters: Polarized vs. Non-Polarized for easiest/best video quality?

As with all things digital, a colour cast in a filter is irrelevant if shooting RAW and colour grading afterwards. You can even adjust for it easily with jpegs. The only issue would be a lack of colour / density uniformity across the field of vision. Then you start getting into problems. Tiffen...

    Raw vs JPEG

Wrong. So what is a camera profile if not a LUT? I've spent 10 years in colour management. Trained in Switzerland by X-rite. I'd hope that I know a thing or two. Michael

    Raw vs JPEG

    Raw vs JPEG

I think you will find that you are wrong. A colour look up table is called a CLUT! A LUT can be for anything. Including sine cosine and log values... So long as the info is available, in a supplied chart or as an embed in the file itself, the info can be extracted and used by any enabled...

My Mavic2 IS DOWN IN THE RIVER

Marco. Sar104 is possibly one of the most knowledgeable users of the DJI platform. To insult him is at best ignorant. He helped. He explained and regardless of your opinions, he needs a solid Thank You. So just in case you can’t bring yourself to say it, here’s a Thank you from me to Sar104.

    Raw vs JPEG

Use lightroom. It has a LUT for the Mavic camera.

    Banding in Images-

These are certainly read/write error on the card. The fact that they are not linear is due to the lens corrections applied to the images to correct for the barrel distortion due to the wide angle lens. I'd bet that they are jpegs that have been optimised by the software. My money is on a dodgy /...

ND Filters: Polarized vs. Non-Polarized for easiest/best video quality?

FYI. Apart from darkening blue skies and removing reflection from water surfaces, there are some aspects that users should be made aware of. The action of a polarising filter changes with your angle of view in relation to the position of the sun. If you are shooting on very wide lenses the...
