4G dongle Mavic 4 in EU

Dji doesnt have acceptant from EU to use 4g. They think it will be accepted soon.
That was my reason for asking if it works in the UK as we are not part of the European Union , hence the reason I can fly my other craft in the UK on 4G . I dont know if 4G flying is banned in all EU Regions or not .

I had Mavic 4 Pro about a week before launch, i bought dongle 2 and it worked sunrprisingly well (in Estonia). However, at launch day there was an update and its "not available in this region". So it was removed.

Its also removed from dongle description page at dji.com. It was there, description still visible if you search cached google.

But as i read from top here - there may be dongle 3 coming and Mavic 4 is supported with that, at the moment in China only?

Dongle 3 is just the 4G dongle with additional communication connect options for streaming and things like that. I dont know the types of communication, maybe other wireless connections. The dongle 2, just 4g, should also work with it.
This is what DJI tech told me.

i connected with Dji support and got today answer:

"I got a confirmation from the relevant team and the DJI Mavic 4 Pro does not support Dongle 2 in overseas areas (non-mainland China area). That is why it will prompt that error."

PS. in Mavic 4 fb group somebody said that dji support told him - it will work soon via firmware update.

I think the new Fly app turned it off outside of China

Yes, i think you're right.
Am i right that the Mavic 3, since the launch, also 4G only was available in Mainland China? Later after updates also in EU we got the possibility to get 4G... and the dongle was selling already in EU for a period.

Yes that is correct

I’m using an Air 3S with Dongle 2 and an RC Pro 2, also fitted with Dongle 2 (it plugs directly into the RC Pro 2). The RC Pro 2 controller can get online through Dongle 2, but only for its own needs—firmware updates and similar tasks.
When I try to enable the link for video transmission, I receive an error stating that this function isn’t allowed in my region (I’m in Europe). After removing Dongle 2 from the RC Pro 2, I noticed it was extremely hot.

A slot for the dongle in the Mav4P and also in the RC 2? Why? Does anyone know more about this topic?

The slots exits but only 4G works on the RC Pro 2 and not on the drone. The Mavic 4 Pro 4G has been closed outside of China

Does the Dongle 2 have to be installed in the Mavic 4 Pro or in the RC 2 Pro?

Latest update from inside DJI i have heard yesterday:
"Currently DJI is testing the 4G dongle in Europe. Soon it is tested and stable, it will - after accepting by the EASA - proceed to the M4P's in the EU. It took several weeks from now."

I asked DJI yesterday and they said they currently had no plans for 4G wireless use for the Mavic 4 Pro in Europe, they also said that the 04+ is so strong that you should never need a wireless connection with line of sight, I do know that here in the UK we now need a licence costing £75 a year and a sim card designed for UAS use, so it is pointless now, luckily I sold my 4G dongle 2 with my Air 3S

Could you please confirm whether there is already a fee for this, or point me to the source where you found this information?
