This sounds like a great plan. Do you have a link to it on the State Farm site or the name of the plan so that I can check into it? TIAlooks like a decent plan
I use State Farm and I pay $60/year for up to $5000 in drone coverage. Full replacement and if a model has been discontinued and I need to upgrade in order to replace, as long as the cost doesn't exceed the limit, it's still full replacement
no link and I will say I've had State Farm auto for 55 years, home for 40, RV for 25. Another poster has said he was not a State Farm customer and went to them for drone insurance and was refused. This sounds like a great plan. Completely agree!I would keep looking. Last year, when I went to get a crease repaired on my truck caused by road debris, the body shop had a sign posted that any repairs done for Allstate would have to be paid up front. When I asked about it, the manager said they were the absolute worst company by far to deal with. Rather than just taking his word, I Googled it and sure enough, Allstate was number one in customer dissatisfaction.
I've been a State Farm customer for 50 years (currently home, umbrella, autos, cycle, RV) and have been very pleased with SF overall. Be sure to check with your local agent. If you are using your drone commercially, it may not be covered.looks like a decent plan

True, However, they WILL NOT cover your drone if it has ever been used for or is listed as one of your commercial drones. The State Farm policy in question is called a Personal Articles policy. It's not just for drones. I had 3 drones on it. It cost $70 per year and has a zero dollar deductible. Unlike DJI Care Refresh, there is no deductible, you can keep the policy in place indefinitely, and you don't have to retrieve the drone if something really bad happens to make a claim. It not only covers damage, but theft as well. If you crash into the ocean, you just call your agent and they cut you a check.
My agent mentioned that there was still some room in my policy to add other items. He suggested jewelry, guns, etc. I ended up adding 3 guitars to my policy, as I take them to gigs and there's always a chance of something happening. The guitars (not cheap ones) pushed my premium to around $100/yr, but still a bargain in my opinion. As others have stated, this policy does not cover your drones if you are using them to make money. I had to move mine to a different kind of policy once I started doing commercial work.
Looking at the ebay listing it says import fees will need to be paid to customs or the shipping carrier. Did you see that when you purchased it?![]()

I just purchased on September 10th a MP4 creator combo and ND filters with shipping and tax for $3960. FedEx shipped it to my house and I received it on September 15. No tariffs duties or custom fees. I also purchased a policy from State Farm for $70 a year that covers fly aways, crashes, thefts etc.. I'll leave the link to where I purchased the drone and I would recommend them to anyone. Happy flying!
If anyone decides to purchase from them please let me know as I'd like to let them know I referred you thanks!
Lots of other sellers are specifically stating no additional tariffs at much higher prices.Looking at the ebay listing it says import fees will need to be paid to customs or the shipping carrier. Did you see that when you purchased it?
All of them say that. I paid no fee feesLots of other sellers are specifically stating no additional tariffs at much higher prices.
"All of them" do not say that. A current seller in Japan for $3500 for the Creator Combo specifically states you are responsible for all tariffs. The sellers I am referring to are stating in the item title, "Mini 5 Pro—NO TARIFFS FOR USA"All of them say that. I paid no fee fees
