Just curious to see feedback on what pilots opinions are on those who map and survey. What is a solid entry level DJI drone for mapping?

The best DJI drone for the money for mapping is the Mavic 3 Enterprise. Other good ones are the Phantom 4 Pro v2, and the Mavic 2 Pro. You'll obviously have to find those used though.

If you want to use a Non-Enterprise drone you can use the drones Vic mentioned above or you have a few more modern options too. These don't have a mechanical shutter so you will want to make sure your area is well lit and perhaps go a bit slower so you don't get rolling shutter. I use the Air 2S and Mini 3 Pro to map using DroneLink. DroneLink is not a free app but it is fairly inexpensive and not a subscription. To find out more about DroneLink see this: Dronelink | Supported Drones

We have been using Phantom 4's (several different versions except RTK) for about 6-7 years for orthophoto mapping and Pix4D Mapper for processing. Last month we purchased a Mavic 3E with the RTK module and have been testing DJI Terra for processing and I have to say that I have been very impressed with both the drone and finished product we have gotten.
