Yes, the little one is watching his surroundings very attentively. If he does not find anything interesting, he usually waits in his charging cradle until he gets attention. But if he's really bored, he plays very aggressively with his cube.
He makes a lot of nonsense and noises during the day. To be able to address him, you have to wait until he is quiet enough to understand you. In the evening he is actually a little more relaxed. He basically only speaks if you address him first. The exception is face recognition.
