Believe it or not? DJI rep says they pay all tariffs.

I ordered a Mini 4 Pro Package 2 Sundays ago and got it this Thursday. It came from China with no tariff. However the day after I ordered it the DJI site was saying out of stock for all Minis 4 Pros and most Mavics. I think getting anything from DJI will be a problem for awhile. Not sure what is going to mean for the Mavic 4.

Congrats on your Mini 4. However, this is part of the problem as well. People believe since the package doesn't says "All tariffs paid" all over the outside that there are NO tariffs. That's not entirely true. All this means is you likely didn't pay the full tariff bill.

Half of this country believes when a package from China arrives and they didn't pay the tariff, that means China must have paid the tariff. This is why it will never be clarified because it's important to have Americans believe China is paying and the US is not paying.

DJI has mentioned their "out of stock" conditions are not necessarily supply issues but possibly pricing issues as well. There's no way DJI is running out of Mini 4 drones but the uncertainty is probably causing them to take pause.

My guess in DJI had a stash of the in a international customs warehouse at the airport that had already been cleared by customs. When those ran out they put the out of stock message on their site. This only affects USA at this point. There is no way DJI paid a tariff that is more than what I paid for the drone.

The tariffs in this case have no particular purpose. One day, the reason is to encourage manufacturing. The next day they are because there is a trade deficit. The next day, it goes away if you make a deal with some particular crypto currency. The next day, the tariff is postponed because the bond market is cracking. The next day, they are to encourage manufacturing.
