For the record I didn’t get the email either. I saw it on YouTube somewhere. I first heard the date from a YouTuber with a thick Eastern Europe accent when everyone else was saying August dates.
I am also on the watch for the Mini 5 Pro. I guess I am more of a drone collector than flyer
...but if not for that beacon. Big miss on DJI but not too late, I guess.Just DJI, or do you have others?
I'm very excited about the "selfie drone" features, and will without a doubt use them.
I'm even more excited about it's other split personality, Mini Avata 2. Basically fully featured, with manual mode, compatability with Goggles 3, MC3, and the FPV RC3, all of which I already have. And full standard DJI GPS and VPS positioning with O4 and the signal penetration and range that come with it. It is the lack of this personality that has kept me from buying a Hover X1.
I don't want a selfie drone. I want a tinywhoop FPV like the Avata 2 that does selfie drone. Voila! The Neo!
Take that and stick it you-know-where Zero Zero Robotics!

I have not received the notification email. I wonder if this means the US will have a later release date than 9/5?Just a quick question. Has anyone in the US received the teaser email?
In Australia, i received mine from D1 store and not DJI itself, which is not what has happened in the pastJust a quick question. Has anyone in the US received the teaser email?
Whoa… that’s a great little drone.Rumor is we are getting a slightly improved version of this [horrible] drone:
They reached out and offered to send me one for free if I would do 2 posts on IG, but it had to follow their script and had a bunch of stipulations tied to it so I passed. Conversely, I can't get DJI to give me the time of day, even when I reach out to them. DJI has the market cornered lol.Rumor is we are getting a slightly improved version of this [horrible] drone:
New videos here including some important details in video #3:
Looking forward to playing with Neo
Hi future Neo pilots! I'm currently flying a Mavic Air 2 and trying to justify a Mavic 3 Pro :). I showed my wife some of the leaked info on the Neo and she is very interested. We plan to pick up a Neo as soon as they become available. Looking forward to watch this community grow! Jimneopilots.com
Actually this is the best video to watch:Post deleted for some reason.
It's always very highly, extremely, extraordinarily annoying when self-styled "experts" come on without knowing easily accessible facts.Actually this is the best video to watch:
I took it as the word "goggles" was left generic so DJI could explore the option of connecting to several different goggles including a future, yet to be launched, set of googles maybe called "Goggles New" without having to update the user guide. Likely those user guides were written a few months back and not revisited just prior to launch and perhaps the decision wasn't final or known. Or possibly, the tech writers or translators didn't know for sure and left it (because technically it's not wrong). The thinking is if Google 2 and Goggles Integra were capable, it should be known by now but we all know how DJI likes to come later with backwards compatibility. However, yes as far as you and I know at this time, RC3 only connects with Goggle3. Hopefully there isn't some sort of short-range connectivity built into RC3 that NEO would make use of for limited range flight without the goggles but you never know since it seems like DJI is shooting for a less is better angle. Honestly, I would find it super odd if RC3 at the high price of US$199 would only ever connect with Goggles 3 for the rest of their life, that would be weird. It's always very highly, extremely, extraordinarily annoying when self-styled "experts" come on without knowing easily accessible facts.
How does he think the FPV RC3 is going to connect to the Neo?
Right now, the only device the FPV RC3 connects to is the Goggles 3. Therefore, if the Neo can be flown with the FPV RC3, it is being done with the Goggles 3.
