Been using one since I got the remote, just to prevent scratches but I also have a StartRC cover fitted as well. Glad I did because the remote fell out of my rucksack and hit the deck, luckily the cover took the hit and the remote is fine. May be of interest to someone so I've put a link to it and some pics of the damage to the cover which still works fine as well.

Here is a similar cover I got a while back - there are a lot of similar variations:

One thing I like about it is that I can keep the sticks on it while in the Fly More case. It also doubles as a screen shade.
