Do you unfold your props everytime before starting motors?

I alway unfold them, with three things in mind:
  1. It only takes me five seconds to do so.
  2. If there is a problem with the props, this is an extra chance to recognize it.
  3. There's a big unbalance before centrifugal force straighten the blades which creates unnecessary load at the motor bearings.

Funny, I never gave it much thought and never unfold them, never gave me any problems.
From now on, I'll unfold them at least so they are more or less opposing each other.
 
I've never unfold the props.
 
yes, takes about 7 seconds or so to unfold, plus its in my preflight checklist, why skip a step?

I stage my props by folding them back until they are stopped by the hub. I do this so the props don't slap the hub when they abruptly start. The slap may be insignificant, but it makes me feel better. Also, I take the props off if I have to fold "Bright Star" for transport, otherwise, he just sits as you see it on my bar next to my P4.
