Don't power the craft on next to steel

I crashed my Mini recently because I turned on the craft on the balcony floor beneath which is a lot of steel reinforcement. The result is yaw initialization error making the craft unable to sense direction correctly throughout the flight. It thought it was flying towards south but in fact it was going north. The worst of all, there is not any warning message so it may be too late by the time you realize it !

This is just one of 100 different ways your drone can be compromised by Magnetic Interference so always be watching your controller for alrerts and warnings and remember just because the warning went away there is still a chance the drone has been comprised so be sure to restart and find a new take off point.

just a tip when you have powered up the drone, place it right way up so the gimbal can do its start up dance, or you could damage the cables or motors in the gimbal

The gimbal of this Mini was broken into 3 pieces in a recent crash so it cannot dance anymore ...... Miraculously the camera is still working.
