Drone vision from Endurance22 - Shackleton ship search expedition

Some awesome drone footage of the Endurance22 search for Sir Ernest Shackleton and crews ship Endurance, lost a little over 100 years ago in Antarctic ice.

Amazingly they found the ship just a couple of weeks later (March 8th / 2 days ago) and the footage here shows the ship in remarkable condition some 3km below the surface.

So great the ships remains have been found after so long.

If anyone doesn't know the story of Endurance, Elephant Island, and Shackleton's epic open boat voyage, try these books. It's a amazing exploration/adventure story and a stunning example of human determination and fortitude.

It is certainly an amazing story of determination, survival, courage . . . I'll check those videos out tonight.

I read the book Shackleton and loved it. Being an old Navy man, I loved the story of his leadership and courage that saved all his men. There was a traveling display of the original lifeboat he used to get to South Georgia.
