Will the proposed tariffs finally mark the end of DJI being a viable alternative in the USA? Will DJI get the MP4 out before they could take effect?

Which specific proposed tariffs are you referring to? Please cite your source.

No\Yes........ The only "tarriff" I have heard of Being proposed is on Government agencies that want to keep their DJI's or private Drone operators who wish to do work for the Government with their DJI's. The Mavic 4 may just be out very soon and would avoid any ban if such ban is passed I.M.O.
I think most will just pay the tariff if it happens.

That is the high number I have heard. BUT that was for the agencies that want to keep the Drones only. I have not heard what the tariff would be on an operator using a DJI.
It could very well be that there are companies out there that build their own equipment and do government work. those companies might just fight for the highest DJI Tariffs ..Well see.
This all depends on the ban passing in the first place.

The President elect has threatened 200% tariffs.
Ah, right, so this is one of the recent scare tactics deployed on the general public. I'd say there's likely nothing to worry about until it actually happens (if ever).

Just as you've managed with the rising energy costs over the past few years, you’ll likely adapt to any price changes in imported goods as well. Assuming you've continued purchasing food and other essentials despite higher costs, I think you'll handle this just fine, too.

It is the unpredictability and the lack of any control over the situation that causes the most harm.

That's what we have now and for some time now (part of the problem with NEO, Air 3S, and N3 launches).

Anyone who thinks tariffs and tariff talk don't hurt business until they go into effect is missing part of the point.

This is no way to do business and the incessant meddling and interruptions and the inability to plan for this cannot be underestimated.

Talking about anything that doesn't exist today and may never exist in the future really doesn't benefit anyone. There is no mention anywhere (unless the OP has a source) that tariffs will be placed on DJI imports in the future.

You are more confused about tariffs that the president elect.
The proposed tariffs have nothing at all to do with a proposed DJI ban and would affect all imports.
What has been has proposed is a 10% tariff on all U.S. imports and 60% on Chinese-made products.

That's all imports, not just DJI drones.

Even 60% tariffs on DJI drones IMO would cause many US consumers to look elsewhere.

And let's bear in mind that tariffs are not paid by the exporting nation, as the incoming guy incorrectly maintains. They're paid by the importer, who typically adds the tariffs to the sale price to US customers.

An extremely high percentage of campaign promises never materialize
I followed the campaign closely and saw no promises (or even vague mentions) of placing tariffs on DJI imports.

Sorry gang. I had hoped you could keep this "unbiased" and stay on track but we just can't seem to do that. I'm going to nip this one BEFORE it goes back down the "Political" rabbit hole....
