I just got this Mavic case from Amazon

Don't worry, you'll be happy with it. But if someone were to strip it of foam and use it to carry tools, for example, the panels would probably give with time from bouncing heavy tools. For Mavic, cameras and such, it's a great case.
Arrived today and I love it! Fits everything but one charger. I can only fit the wall charger or the car charger at a time.

That's fine though, awesome piece of kit!

Does yours have a rubbery feel? I assume it's protective film but am afraid to start tearing at it.

Rubbery feel? No, only robbery feel. :D But seriously, you meant in the foam or on the exterior?

By the way, today I removed the bottom foam on one of my wundercases and indeed, the panels are of the same material as backing of picture frames. But to establish whether the material outside is very thin but true aluminum or it's just an imitation foil, would require either total teardown or making a cut on the panel with an exacto knife.

The foam has this toxic smell and after I stored my Mavic in it overnight it stinks like a cheap shoe. :D Maybe I'll call my Mavic Toxic from now on. :D

Yeah the outside of mine feels like it has a clear protective film over the whole thing.

Same texture here. I think I am going to take a hot knife to join the two smaller slots into a second long one so I can take either the hub or car charger with me. I can get the car charger in as is, but there would be too much strain on the cable at the inverter for my comfort. The way I have it, there are two complete sets (8 blades) of props in the case.

I will show my pack job tonight, I put everything in it except the car charger with no mods.

This is my load out,
The hub sits nice on top and is still shorter than the top of the batteries which are the highest point.

I looked for pluck foam on amazon, cheapest block is 2x the cost of this case. :D

I guess I'll have to find some cheap regular foam and DIY for my other two wuhdercases that I want to use for camera and other things.

I'm guessing this case is not really waterproof as advertised. I need to find one for when I take the Mavic whitewater rafting.

I would definitely not trust this case to be waterproof, particularly for whitewater rafting. Find a good roto molded case with a robust rubber gasket.

Waterproof Storage Hard Shell Carrying Case Portable Bag For DJI Mavic Pro Black | eBay

The link above is the 2 battery carrying case I have on order. I have no idea how good/bad this case will be until I get it so we will see. I will open all of my Mavic Pro goodies on Christmas morning, including the Skyreat iPad tablet holder that came today.
Yea this is the most common case online. I actually have one. It's pretty decent quality. I would recommend it as a basic carry case.

I finally received my case and it's awesome. The outlines fit all the main parts perfect I can stuff the other stuff into the remaining slots. It feels very sturdy and well made. The outside of the case seems to be a sheet of metal wrapped around cardboard but it is VERY sturdy and can withstand a decent amount of weight. I would feel completely safe having something on top of it with the mavic inside

I like this case so much that I bought an almost identical case for my Spark (it's same width, less depth). Alas, it's $10 more expensive than this.
