Regarding indoor flying, the Mavic manual says:

"...the Downward Vision System cannot work properly on surfaces without clear pattern variations..."

Do you think something like this, laid down a concrete floor would work?

Yes. That most definitely has a clear pattern.

How the hell does it pull it off? Looking at what? Hovering and flying over furniture with warnings, but going over it.

Quite impressed with this little "machine"!
