You might be able to pay extra for tether/hotspot. That's how T-Mobile does it.
No hot-spot for unlimited plans is why I don't jump on them.

Yes you can. I have the same phone and iPad mini 4 and it works great.
Drag down your screen from the top. Locate the Mobil Hotspot icon. Click on it, it will ask to turn off Wi-Fi... tap ok.
Next go to your iPad setting, connections and click on Samsung s7 like you would with any other wi-fi and bingo your on line.
Works great. The Apple person at Best Buy had no idea how to do it. I bought my iPad and figured it out.
