I've had the Mavic about 5 months. Other than toy copters the only other experience flying RC was a 20' helium blimp.
Quite a few DJI quads here, and some fantastic terrain, Mountains to deep blue sea.
I'm a tech in the local TV station, so I do broadcast some of my better clips.

There are few or no laws here about quadcopters, so it's mostly not drawing attention to yourself.
YouTube is one. We have a 108m tower here at work so that makes a good hazard and forces a RTH of 120m. We are UHF and there is zero interference with the Mavic even 3m from thetower.
