Landing updates the homepoint?

If I land somewhere and take off again why would I want to make that my new homepoint? Is there a way to turn that off?

I saw a video of a guy filming building construction and he landed on a chimney that had plywood on top of it, then it said the home point has been updated! Obviously he would not want it to land there in the case of return to home. I wish they would fix some of these things. We should have to manually update the home position. I will tell them on the chat. They changed a few things that I have told them about so it seems to help.
