I wonder if the flight controller is any different from the MP2 and does anyone know how processing cores its has?

You might want to post your question in the Mavic Air (2?) forum. I think this is for the M2 series (Pro, Zoom, Enterprise).

That said, the Mavic Air 2 uses the same Ocusync transmission system as does the M2 series (not the same as the previous Air). The much liked (by me anyway!) Smart Controller for the M2 series, after an upcoming update, will work with the new Air 2, so it's probably safe to say that the control equipment between the Air 2 and M2 is mostly the same.
