I lost a Mavic 2 Pro tonight around Hicksville, Ohio

The GPS coordinates show it in a cornfield. I scoured the field but I could not find it. It appeared to fly crazy when it got near high tension power lines.

If you see it, please let me know. I'm sure it's sad and lonely right now. :(

I think it is safe to say that Mr. Wind is probably the biggest factor in losing drones. Sincerely hope you find her, Bryce and if you will post the .DAT and .TXT files, I am sure that one of our expert analysts can determine the cause.

In the logs the speed kept increasing up to 85+ MPH even though I was not in sports mode.

Are you sure that it was 85 MPH? If that is true and you were in P mode the winds would have to be around 54 MPH or more because max horizontal speed is 31 MPH. Maybe you meant 85 KPH, which is 53 MPH, which would imply winds were in the 20 MPH range and a lot more reasonable, especially at an altitude of a few hundred feet over the cornfields in OH.

What were the surface winds when you took off?

Edit: I think this is the same incident that is discussed in another post. If so, disregard this post.
