OUCH that's blooming expensive, £1018 for a flymore setup!!!

It will be interesting to see what the price is outside the UK & EU to see if we Europeans are being ............ because of our laws.

With today's currency conversion is $1280.00 for the drone with the new debagged RC Pro and Fly More Kit. Expensive for sure.

I agree with you, this is a good price 👍
It’s even better if you can use the controller with the other ocusync2/3 drones! Then it is like getting a cheap complementary 3 pro with your controller LOL
I am hoping for 800+ nits but I kind of doubt it, hope to be wrong though!

Wow!

I just paid $1057 for my DJI FPV, tax and shipping included! But that didn't included the Fly More, add that and it would have been about $1300.

My personal Mini-3 is going to remain Mythical for a long, long time.

But I'll get it eventually!

I bet that number shot right up when word was out

Am I the only one who thinks it's actually not a bad price, considering what it brings to the table + the controller?
With admittedly only a small amount of research, I'm still struggling to understand what the fancy controller brings to the table. Can anyone who has one enlighten me?

Now that the specs are out, I'm very much looking forward to someone doing a head-to-head feature comparison between the Mini-2 and the Mini-3.

Nobody can, that controller will be completely new with the Mini 3. It's not been released yet. The specs are unknown.

Ahh, I didn't pick up on that.

What about the other "higher end" DJI controllers? What do they bring to the table?

Thx!

Thank you sir!

Now, if I could just get some decent weather...we've got storminess and high winds both today and tomorrow.

But I'll never turn back from the FPV experience. This is what I've been looking for all along!

:)

Heh, the wait. Been there.

Yeah. In order to learn proper technique, it's better to practice in windless conditions at first. Once you get better you can learn to do the same on windy conditions.

The learning curve for decent FPV is long, but well worth it.

Well, living a canyon, if I waited for truly windless conditions, I'd almost never fly!

I'll be flying in Normal mode until at least next Sunday. Unless something unexpected happens between now and then, I'll switch to Sport mode, and poke around with that for at least a week.

Just as a random guess, how long would you estimate that learning curve to be? I don't have any sense of urgency about it, but I am curious.

Thx!

For normal and sport, if you come from a photo drone, zero I'd say. It's just a fast mavic.

For manual, the basics within a month on the simulator or until crashes there are rare, then you can go real world and build up skills and confidence until you can do what you wish to do without wrecking it. I recommend going youtubey there and learn from the pros, and do the recommended daily drills.

So far I've been flying daily for two months, doing 6 packs a day average, but I still feel I have a long way to get where I want to be (i.e: capt vannover, or mr steele skill level).

It will take a while for sure (and I'm sure I must move onto DIY drones too, like 5" qwads and the like), since those guys are world-class pros with several years flying on their belts, but I'm confident I'll get there.

Well, my acrobatic aspirations are modest.

What YouTube vids would you recommend for basic acro skill development? If it's structured, with specific exercises, that would be perfect. I've flown acro in full-sized aircraft, so that should help.

Also, I plan to spend at least a week in the limited Manual mode, before going for the max of full Manual.

Based on a recommendation I got elsewhere on this forum, I'll looking at the Liftoff flight sim for the DJI FPV. Would you suggest something other than that?

Thx!
