Yeop!, It's all about the battery time that's holding us back from making it further.
I still have not seen anything on battery modifications.:(

After a quick test I have found that choosing the lowest interference 2.4g channel actually added about 2200 ft longer range with 3 bars of signal. I will most likely mod the controller for a 4w boosted 2.4 now, instead of 5.8g. And, UAVMODS is taking forever to start selling the battery mod, so beyond 5.6k might not happen until later. If anyone has good ideas for a minimalist boosted setup, please hit me up.

Finally crossed the 5000feet mark! It took some time, but the Mavic air gave me the confidence to go that far. I know that I could have pushed a bit more, but it is my first time flying that far. I didn’t want to push my luck and the post that I lost my drone :(IMG_4278.JPGIMG_4279.JPG

P.S had to replace the screenshots, the resolution was bad.

Landed with 30% battery but because I was next to my house the interference cut this run short. It was done it 5.8ghz, which after one final test (this) proved itself to be wayyy better than 2.4ghz. I will most definitely try a battery mod when (more like if) it becomes available.

Nice run for Parabolics! You are in 6th position on the mods board.;)
Yeah and conditions were no where close to ideal. 10 mph winds and strong interference from my house, I need to boost now because after flying in another location I normally do, I could only reach about 4500ft

Thanks and
Always remember to tag me @Long Ranger in a post when you post your original flight results. I have not been getting all mails for updates. But tagging me will alert me sooner.:D

What amazes me is that I still had 57% battery so I could have exceeded 18000ft probably and made it home if their was no wind. Landed about 7500ft out.
