I’m sure it’s been done many times already, but was amazed how easy it was, and how well they work!
Just removed old lenses from frames, taped up both sides, marked them and patiently ground them down till they popped into the frames. Remove tape and clean
Used a regular old bench grinder with a fine grinder wheel at high speed
Old lenses were quite a bit bigger, and are the progressive type, so I made a point of grinding the bottom (reader part), and leaving the top distance part for the insert.
I was pretty happy with my regular glasses under the bt300s, but because I had the old glasses lying around (same prescription) I thought I would give this a shot...just old lenses to lose
With my regular glasses under the bt300s the view was pretty good, a little ghosted on the edges, but with the new inserts it couldn’t be better! No ghosting or blind spots on the edges...sweet!
