Hi all,

we have done some surveys during which we have taken photographs but none of them are on SD card and only about 5% is in DJI Go 4 app. The flight logs show that photos were taken but only show a few that were saved as preview. We are quite desperate to get these photos back but don't seem to be able to find a way how to do it? We have tried SD recovery which found all previously deleted photos but none of these.

Tried to upload a flight record on airdata in case it would give out more pictures but it shows same details as in the Go 4 (attachments).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

How much space was left on the card? The software may not have thought that there was space on the sd card for more images. I have seen a related problem with Macs. If you offload the card from the computer, and move the old photos to the trash, and eject the card from the computer without emptying the trash, the drone still thinks the photos are there, even if they are gone. It will not write new pictures to the card if the new picture would require more space than the SD card wrongly thinks it has.

Good point. Windows recycle bin is managed by Windows. To another OS, particularly Linux, the folder and files are like any other.

It doesn't really help unless you put the card back in the computer and check the trash to see if it has been emptied. On the Mac, if you haven't emptied it, the pictures will reappear in the trash, and can be moved to some other place, and will function normally. If you have emptied it, you are probably hosed.
