I just bought a new Mavic Pro White Edition witch I expect in the mail tomorrow. It will be my first Mavic and I already checked all the youtube videos i could find.
Last month I lost my Spark whitch I had for only 2 weeks... I made all the rookie mistakes. I flew to high (400meters) in the dark and with a lot of wind. The wind took it, return to home could not make it against the wind. It was at 100 meters high when it lost GPS so I couldn't find it back anymore... With the Mavic I will try to fly more carefully!
I live in the Netherlands at about 3 kilometers from the sea so I bought the Mavic for its range and hope to get some good footage from the woods and the sea.
One thing or me to keep in mind is that I live near Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) and on a busy flight route (not in the no-fly-zone) where the plains pass at around 500-600 meters altitude. This is close to the max of the drone.
