I did watch the video, and understand all that!
I suspect that you've misunderstood much of what you watched.
I assume that you are much younger than me, so your data sharing doesn't matter to you, as you've probably grown up with it. I haven't.
If you look at my details, you'll see that I'm considerably older than you are.
I've also been flying DJI drones for >10 years and understand very well what what you stated in your initial post just isn't true.
You can fly all you like and DJI won't have any idea what you are doing.
Your anxiety is misplaced and your assumptions about flying DJI are as accurate as your assumptons about me.

Hi M,

The subject has gone on a bit, because of what I've mentioned. I assume that you are much younger than me, so your data sharing doesn't matter to you, as you've probably grown up with it. I haven't.

I’m 70 and all my data has been out in the internet due to a variety of various companies allowing my and others data to be compromised multiple times. Our data is like our homes, if someone really wants in they can get in.

Do you guys really provide genuine info when most of these companies have no way of checking? Obviously pick something you can remember if you need to confirm, say, date of birth but I don’t see any reason to provide REAL data to some foreign company who probably can’t look after it properly….

I know you are in the UK and things are different there than here in the US. For instance, you drive on the wrong side of the road… You weigh yourselves in "stones," while we weigh ourselves in pounds (and not in your money…), but as you might say, "keeping the books" is nothing new…

I and my wife are both in our mid '70s and I was first born and my wife was the fourth child and we were both born in the same general area… On my birth certificate, there are check marks for whether my mother was married (she was…) and if she had been tested for syphilis (she was…). Back in the early '50s, after the wars (WWII and Korea), all first time mothers were tested for syphilis and marital status was noted…

My wife's birth certificate was a different form as her mother had given birth before and it notes that my wife was the fourth birth and no mention of her mother's marital status or testing for syphilis.

I guess that they (the authorities…) back then figured that anyone having given birth previously was obviously married and that married couples would never stray and bring home an uninvited guest…

And I will not even start with how the Brits are notorious for class separation and keeping track of a father's/mother's family status… L :DL . . .

Hi M,
I looked at your details, and I am quite a bit older than you.
If I want to be anxious, I will be :)
