Looking to video a circle of people from a fixed position in the center. I'd like to program the drone (in my case, Mavic Pro) to rotate in place at a preset RPM. Does anybody know of a software or other way to accomplish this? I know that I can adjust the Yaw endpoint and hold the stick in place but ideally I would love to accomplish this hands-free.

Thanks in advance!

Never used it but I've been told Litchi can do a lot.

Thank you both for the replies.

@Dakarenduro - I've looked through the Litchi documentation and couldn't find a clear guide for what I'm hoping to accomplish. I might buy it anyway as I'm sure it will be useful in other scenarios, but I wasn't in a rush to do so if it didn't help in this instance.

@DavidT_ NZ - from what I'm reading, I'm actually looking for the opposite. Rather than having the drone fly a loop around a group of people, I want the group of people surrounding the drone. Footage would be taken from the inside of the circle facing out rather than outside facing in. Am I understanding what you're referring to correctly?

if you had the drone in tripod mode and in the center of the circle of people ,then you would just need to do a steady yaw till you had gone full circle ,ideally on as calm a day as possible

@old man mavic - you nailed it. Is there a way to lock the yaw rotation? I'm supposed to be *in* the video and with the current pandemic don't really want to bring anybody else (we'll be well spaced and masked).

Use Dronelink.
There is a so-called Component 'Rotation' - It'll do exactly as you want to do.

I think that'll serve perfectly!
Here a quick test:

- take off
- Climb to 20m
- fly to Waypoint #1
- Tilt camera down to -10°
- wait 1 sec
- rotate 360°

How about waypoints mode with the command to hover in place at the last waypoint. You can spec the gimbal pitch too. You could even spec a very slow rise or descent. And more!
