Rec flying G airspace 4.5 miles from airport

Hi, just got a Mavic platnum. I want to recreational fly in my yard but I am 4.5 miles from a small private airport, so inside the circle of the airport traffic area. The airspace is G. I tried calling the airport but its very small and no one to talk to except the voice mail. I am very confused about the regs in this case. This is in USA, and I am also a private pilot. I get no warnings and can take off no problem. I get no warnings on AirMap. I am studying for the 107 endorsement to my license Or the license, whichever is applicable, but in the meantime, I want to fly. I have read and understand the rec drone laws. I live in the SF Bay Area so not many places to fly. Any help appreciated.

If class G, just fly and look around like other pilots do. Note that if DJI GO does its own enforcement limits, as it does around some airports, try to take off, and then answer the q's to say yes, and fly.

If the airspace is Class G then you don't need any authorization. The recreational 5-mile rule and the requirement to call airports went away when 14 CFR Part 101 was revised.

The thing about calling the airport Is obsolete you don’t do that anymore.
The whole thing about the 5 miles is over too.
As has been stated if you’re in class G you’re fine.
