Recreational flying in usa

Hi i am going to California and i would like to take few pics/videos with my drone. I made registration in FAADroneZone.

In Recreational Flyers & Modeler Community-Based Organizations
there is listed "aeronautical knowledge and safety test".

My quesion is do i need to perform that "aeronautical knowledge and safety test". And if i have to where i can find it?

As noted on the page you linked above, that test is going to be a future requirement. It does not exist today.

Download Kittyhawk. They are a LAANCE provider. Request an authorization to fly. If it doesn’t give you one then you are in no restricted airspace. Double check with whatever city you are in. Most have info on their websites about any local restrictions. I’m in Burbank LA County. Pm me if you need further assistance about recreational flights.
