Sun Shade and Radio Signal

Using a mini 2 but I guess my question applies to any controller when use with a sun shade.
Does a sun shade block the radio signal? Will I get less range if I use one?

A screen shade should not interfere with your signal. The antenna is the black thing that is at the end of the extension that your phone fits into. When you attach the sun shade the antenna is not covered much if at all. I would probably tape up the flap covering the antenna or just trim it off, but it shouldn't be much interference. Also, there are range extenders that clip onto the end of the antenna, but they will focus the signal directionally.

No , not that I have noticed and I always fly with a screen sun shield, cheers Len

Interference only happens with metal, and water containing other materials.
