Excellent review, interesting design, just a few questions

1) The wifi base station unit, is that something that is needed all the time or can you fly without it e.g just use the standard remote controller

2) Is the maestro controller self contained, does it link directly to the AC, or do you piggy back link it to the remote controller. What sort of range do you get from it, probably not the 3.1 miles I suspect ?

Yes the base station is needed for both the Maestro and the Controller. It would be way better to not have to use the base station. It’s like the original Phantom series.

The drone itself is so nice. Feels way higher quality and futuristic! It’s like an inspire, and a Phantom 4 later an Egg!

I like the controller has a nice case, and the drone itself done need a case. Just throw two small things in a bag and you’re off!
