Virtual Litchi Mission

I've noticed now that where I used to be able to export a mission directly to Google Earth, now I have to save the csv/klm file then import it to Google Earth. Is the the workflow now, or have I missed something?
Since you posted your question in this thread, and this thread is about the VLM application (as opposed to the VLM browser extension), I'll answer your question assuming you are using the VLM application.

VLM has changed. Instead of choosing an export function to send the mission to Google Earth Pro, you now click on the globe icon in the upper left corner of the main VLM window.

If you are using the VLM browser extension, which is a separate utility developed by someone else, my instructions above do not apply.

I'm I missing something?

When I start VLM, had to updated of coarse, my missions are there, after I put in info.now been getting some goofy text boxes, also stuff about my location.

Do I need have this extension installed for google chrome?

Even though when VLM shows up it doesn't look like its using a browser?

I use Firefox as my default.
Win7 On this PC.

I'm older then the PC, some times I need help to tie my shoes.

No, you don't have to have the Chrome extension installed.

Hum, my Win10 laptop doesn't have this same issue.

This computer, Win7 still does.

Basically when I open VLM every thing that is controls are text and cut off.

Did I goof up a font thing since its not a Browser issue?

I use this Win7 a lot 95% every day.

I did a lot of things in the last hour, uninstalled, rebooted, wasn't really working right, did another reboot same-o, did the hold down shift. It came up, but here is the picture.

My problem is the cut off text boxes, of coarse I have many other problems.
This one is a win 7

It's is fine on my W10 laptop, I just checked

This showed up maybe a month before my June 7th post on this thread.

Thanks

You have three choices:

1. Use the scroll bar to the right (not shown in your photo).
2. Reduce the size of the "Profile Plots" window pane at the bottom or even turn it off.
3. Change your screen scaling in Windows settings.

I guess this could be part of it?
"Could not retrieve current location (User denied Geolocation)"

Shows up for .10 seconds.
Took me three times to actually copy the text.

#1 I couldn't find it.
#2 I did.
#3 I tried many settings. At the moment the text is so large people can read it from the next county.

I'm going to go back to recommended windows settings, then reboot.

Then, a will look at error message closer, why that may be part of the cause?

I tried many things since my last post.

Really can't get anywhere.

Win 7
Litchi hub, is fine.

So the issue in part is text boxes are showing up instead of buttons on the Win 7? Do the text boxes "work" if you click on them (not likely)? It could be a corrupt, damaged or missing Windows file. Try running the Command prompt as Administrator and running the Windows scan and repair command: sfc /scannow and see if any files needed to be repaired.

If that doesn't help, make sure your browser is up to date. Trying a different browser is another thing to try.

Thanks, no they don't work,
I get your tip on a windows corrupt file! Same as myself. :)

I few post's back it, appears that this isn't a browser issue.

Thanks!!

Strange that @namirda hasn't put in an appearance. 🤔
I seem to recall he was having notification issues from this forum.
Hopefully this @ will bring him into the conversation. 🤞

Update?

I haven't actually done your instructions yet, have done a couple of other chkdsk things so far. I will still check it out.

Wondering if most of you are familiar the term of "God Mode" ?
Been using the short cut for a few years, XP, Vista, W7, W8, W10, Etc
