Those of you that know me will be aware that I’ve been losing my eye sight. At only 46, it’s a crappy situation to be in. Unfortunately, I’ve now got to the point where I can no longer drive, and no longer fly a drone safely. So, I’m sadly selling my equipment and leaving the hobby. I’ve been struggling to read without aid now too, so I won’t be visiting the forum much and as I’m going to miss flying it will be painful to come here and read about you all having fun.

This forum has been a fantastic place, and is full of excellent people.I wish you all a right, happy and healthy future. Stay safe! :)

Sorry to hear the news - in our prayers.

When a memorable forum member bids adieu, I’m saddened by the various reasons they say goodbye. After thumbing through a few pages of your posts, I’m reminded of your thoughtful and well-written advice and opinions. You can be proud to be leaving behind an archived collection that will benefit others for years beyond the release date of the Mavic Four.

Thanks for everything, Shaun. Please come back and say hello once in a while.

I wish you the best and possibly a return of vision one day. My wife 48 lost sight in her right eye in may. (Full Retina Seperation) It was devastating for us both. We found a specialist and she went thru a lot of painful injections and lazer welding. She is still healing but has sight restoring, very blurry and pinched but better than nothing. Again sir keep hope and don't give up on it without a fight. Best of luck.

Take care ,be safe and if you need anything just ask as I’m sure
members here will do whatever to get you what you need. ?

I do so hope that something can be found to help vision loss, not just in you, but in many people. We have come far in medicine, but there is much to do.
