The cam and gimbal will cost you another 70,000 but the Drone by itself is around the 5-6 mark and you can chase F1 racing cars with it! all day!That's exactly a 10% increase over the prior price of $4650. Glad I got mine when I did as well, as a bird in the hand from Adorama, no risk, and a DJI warranty, not that it will ever be needed, which is why I would have been OK with your deal, too.
I presume those that still have outstanding pre-orders with Adorama at the prior price of $4650 are still grandfathered into their $4650 price until fulfilled. This higher price is likely only for brand new pre-orders placed now, where Adorama's cost will be 10% higher.
Yes, it's true that they could. But there's been no indication of it being done, just speculation and unfounded social media rumor. And why would they, anyway?
Adorama Creator Combo units have all been factory sealed with a DJI warranty from DJI Canada, facilitated by DJI USA. DJI is not preventing activation in the U.S., and has turned off all GEO restrictions. Had they wanted to, DJI could certainly have turned the U.S. into an NFZ, but as mentioned above, why would they want penalize their U.S. customers who are clever enough to acquire a unit? No restrictions on FW updates either. The hard part is getting a Creator Combo without paying Customs Fees that can be $2,000 or more, if you don't buy from a vendor in the United States like Adorama that has already paid any import tariffs.
I ordered a second Creator Combo for myself from K_Wave early this morning based upon a total price of $4,000, including eBay sales tax, with "Delivery: Estimated between Tue, Aug 5 and Tue, Aug 12." However my confirmation email now states,

I got 3 separate ebay messages about "confirmation", "shipping", and then the "customs explanation" but none of them had the text you posted. I was counting on them not having yet changed, despite his addition of [Pre-Order] in front of the listing on eBay, which seemed a bit odd, but my Adorama order was also a Pre-Order, fulfilled within a few hours, based upon a promised shipping date of the same date I was placing the Adorama pre-order,, so I figured I would try K-Wave anyway, since he did not change the Estimated delivery date of August 5 to August 12 n the eBay listing.
