Follow-up: DJI store has refunded nearly all of my payment to my Amex card (they are still auditing requested refund of Fly Away insurance for the undelivered 3S, which I’m optimistic they will also in fact refund).I got a followup email today from DHL Tuesday asking for any of the following information to forward to US Customs to release my package:
I requested DJI cancellation and full refund this morning. DJI Store support said they escalated it to the logistics team and all I can do is wait. Will give it another week before disputing transaction with Amex for non-delivery and non-refund if they con't credit my card. Caveat emptor
- Evidence mapping the entire supply chain, and transport along the supply chain, including which entities were involved at each stage;
- Complete list of all workers at an entity subject to the rebuttable presumption in the production of the imported goods, including:
- Evidence to demonstrate how and to whom wages are paid at each workplace;
- Evidence to identify whether each worker comes from Xinjiang, as well as the worker’s residency status;
- Evidence to demonstrate that output is consistent with the documented workers, including:
- number of workers in each job category, total volume of material or goods input, and total volume of outputs of materials or goods; and,
- documents relating to hours worked and daily production output of goods.
- Evidence that none of the workers who were involved in the production of the product were a) recruited, b) transported, c) transferred, d) harbored, or e) received with the involvement of the government of China or entities on the UFLPA Entity List. Evidence should specifically address the controls each entity has in place to ensure that all workers are recruited voluntarily;
- Evidence that reliably demonstrates that every worker from Xinjiang is working voluntarily, and without menace or threat of penalty, including credible evidence that demonstrates for each such worker that:
- recruitment to work, including recruitment to any job fair, was fully voluntary;
- recruitment and continuation at the job were and are not subject to government or entity coercion;
- recruitment was free of any forced labor indicator (see Strategy Section II), including detention, prior detention or threats of detention, detention or threats of detention of family members, or forced transfer of land to the government;
- transport from Xinjiang was voluntary and free of any forced labor indicator, including government surveillance or control of worker movements during transport from Xinjiang;
- transfer to the entity was voluntary and free of any forced labor indicator, including government surveillance;
- living and working conditions at the entity are free of any forced labor indicator, including government surveillance or reporting by the entity to the government, restriction of movement, or required activities such as political, language, or cultural classes; and,
- receipt of the worker by the entity was undertaken voluntarily
My guess is that it depends on your state and where its coming in from. Im here in NYC and I ordered mine day of release. Mine came in and was delivered with zero issue. Even a day early.I was getting ready to order the 3S by the end of this week. After reading most of the posts in this thread, am I walking into an s-show? DJI's web site has it in stock, and it says if I ordered today, I'd have it by Thursday, but is that true? I am in the northeast US. I did see someone post that DJI's eBay store has them, so would that be a better choice?
E-commerce purchasesHello. I am new to this forum and have been doing a lot of reading here the last few days. I have an Air 3s sitting in CBP in NYC awaiting release, which DHL says should be friday or early next week. I was curious - has anyone had to pay tariffs on these when you ordered direct from DJI? I bought a fly-more package and a wide angle lens so it came in around $1660. Thanks for your time!
Double check this, but I believe if you have a bill of sale showing you purchased the drone before your trip you shouldn't have any problems. I don't think you would anyway, but a receipt would show you're not trying to import the drone.Will be visiting AUS and NZ next year. Hoping to buy an Air 3S and flying it over there. Will I be able to bring it home (used) in my luggage after that? Has anyone had luck doing so?
My Air3S came in the mail today, exactly 7Hi Everyone, , has anyone actually received their Air 3 s since the US BODER ban? DHL sent me an email today to upload a lot of proof about me. SS number W2 etc. Their system ONLY 2 of of 3 docs .. What a horror. What will my SS and W2 do to get me my package when US BORDER Protection banned ALL DJI orders entering the USA ?
I guess the time my CC statement arrives to me Ill either ask for refund or dispute the charge and just keep my Mini 4 and air 2 s x2 .. Soon to say BYE BYE DJI this seems like the beginning the their END ..
How long did it take for your refund. I’m still waiting for mine so I can purchase one elsewhere.I ordered the 3s on Nov 20th thru DJI. It was shipped and ended up it Atlanta. For 10 days, I communicated with both DJI and DHL, I gave them my SS#, I filled a CBP Form 5106, and finally DJI said they would resend another unit. It too went Atlanta, after 6 days of no movement, DJI Support suggested that they should refund my money and for me to purchase an Air 3 from a US Distributor, which is what I did and it arrives today. I'm Bummed, but they, the US, may stop Air 3's from coming in and I wanted one before stock ran out.
Well I did get my refund from DJI. And promptly ordered from DronePoint. Now my air 3s is sitting in a buffalo warehouse for three days. No news from UPS yet on the status. Just getting frustrated with the whole thing.How long did it take for your refund. I’m still waiting for mine so I can purchase one elsewhere.
I would give it longer than 3 days. I have packages from nebraska that have been waiting for 3 days. everything is super slow right now for some reason.Well I did get my refund from DJI. Yep. I’ll give them a bit more time as this seems to be my last chance until all the dust settles. If this one gets sent back maybe I move to an air 3. We shall see.I would give it longer than 3 days. I have packages from nebraska that have been waiting for 3 days. everything is super slow right now for some reason.
