Don't Believe Everything You Hear about Chinese Drones. (By Vic Moss).

the government is shutdown right now. And when it opens again, there will be so many things deferred that will need attending to, the idea that this incompetent reactionary Congress would actually attend to a matter of Chinese drones seems laughable. Yeah, that's bad government but that's where we are

since this whole saga started about 18 months ago there has been a slow-moving inevitability to the momentum. Some of us could see where it was likely headed but when we said what we were seeing we were told we were over-reacting and that the sky was definitely not falling....but it fell

here we are...about 6 weeks away from an actual ban with the very real possibility it will include some form of retroactive ban. I did write to my congressman, 2 or 3 times. I did believe the notion that it wasn't too late and that there were paths to avoid what has transpired. I don't believe any of it anymore. It's too late, IMO.

I'm really glad right now that I didn't spend $4000-5000 on a Mavic 4. That would be one expensive brick

Given that Baby Caligula is POTUS and the GOP Congress spends its time pleasuring him, and both use the Constitution as toilet paper, this ban is a done deal. Now I am trying to figure out if I should activate my spare Air3 and Avata2 as well as my O4 Pro air units before the ban.

It's all part of the anti-Chinese hoax. There was never any indication and for sure no evidence that DJI ever transferred anything to the Chinese government. Currently, I'd trust the Chinese long before our current administration.

That’s laughable.

That’s laughable.
There literally has been no evidence provided to justify the US Customs embargo based on the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. Zero. Nothing. Nor is there any evidence that our DJI drones are a threat to national security and are reporting back to the CCCP mothership. But the lack of any evidence didn't stop Elise Stefanik (R-NY) and John Moolenaar (R-MI) from pushing the upcoming ban through Congress via the 2025 NDAA. And not directing a specific government agency to do the investigation made the ban a done deal.

But we can all guess why you would think that this is all a big joke.

They may have "evidence" they just probably haven't shared it with the public. When you figure out the enemy is spying on you then you generally don't release the details to the public since it might give away some of the sources or the methods.

For example, "An unnamed Uyghur who recently escaped a Chinese detention camp and made his way to our CIA site in Mongolia brought with him a USB drive containing video of DJI employees (wearing CCP armbands) directing other detainees to assemble Mavic drones bound for Ukraine...." Obviously this never happened but if it did, we're not going to be release that. Honestly DJI still might not know if we know for sure; could be bluffing.

BTW, I typed the above statement in quotes into Gemini for fun to see what it would return:

If you are serious, you don't reveal anything about another country spying on you, because that informs the other country's spy service that they were detected. You don't want the enemy to know you are on to their spying. I would argue that the only reason the US frequently makes public announcement about Chinese spying is to stoke anti-China fear. It has little or nothing to do with national security.

Yep, you don't but it probably got out or leaked that we were on to them. Decided to go ahead and acknowledge it without giving up the details. But I agree, sounds more like anti-China fear but I'm not so sure that was a thing with the previous administration when this all first came up; honestly I don't remember.

You wouldn’t be be able to guess correctly even if there was a singular choice.

You two would seriously trust the Chinese before the current administration?
