Gimbal sun shield

Do you use one?
yes mine is a sunnylife one, and i like it as it protects the gimbal to a certain extent from being hit from the side if it were to impact with something.
my drone is a MPP, and as you will know the gimbal on the air is much better in some respects because it is mounted differently, but if you do get one it will help reduce glare on the camera

There seems to be a couple different designs, https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...Vaw1DgtqDRFC-z9t8FyMi0oUi&cshid=1568721959320 or https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...rJRDNuAsH2LwByY9M&ampcf=1&cshid=1568721959320. Has anyone tried both? What's an advantage of one design over the other?

My recommendation is get the PGYTECH.

I had one similar to the one in your first link and I had 2 issues with it. It did not click into place, it just slides in and just touching it lightly it would come loose. The second is that it did not allow full gimbal movement when the Mavic Air rolls left or right.

I did not like it so I got the PGYTECH. With the PGYTECH you feel a click into place and it feels secure and the gimbal can move to all extremes.

Cheers.
