Hard to see when flying low—solution?

I am still new to both drones and the Mavic. I found that it's easier to get interesting video when flying low. But when doing so, it is often very hard to see the Mavic with all the vegetation in the background, even when it's as close as 100-150 meters. And when I can not see it, I cannot fly confidently enough to obtain smooth video.

Have others encountered this problem? How do you deal with it?

If you are only flying a few hundred metres away go for a walk and eyeball the area for any obstructions you might encounter. If walking around isn't an option scout the area from a safe altitude before going in for the close up.
Alternatively use 4k and zoom in digitally or use the zoom function on the controller thus maintaining a safe altitude.
Always be vigilant and err on the side of safety to avoid injuring bystanders if you aren't 100% sure the area is clear.
