anyone got a suggestion for an easy to learn editor that would allow me to crop the area displayed? i.e. I want to remove the background that is above the subject.
The area to be removed will be identical in every frame, fixed position camera (tripod mounted) and fixed position subject (tied down).

If you use an iphone / ipad, you can also crop a video in your photos album in normal photo editor . . . just like you crop a photo, so easy.
Not sure, but if you use android you can possibly do same in their photo editor ?

If it has a photo album, and a photo editor within that (sorry, really don't know android at all), then it would likely crop photos, and also likely crop video.

I wanted to crop a video I took o my phone, and was surprised I could do that in the normal phone photo editor.
Took a while to process it, but no longer than half a minute or so.
