Hello from the Crossroads of America DAcosta_pilot.

I agree, aerial photography really helps out the business.

Are you a Part 107 pilot to help "Furtherance of the business" ?

If you are, congratulations. ?

If not, you should be to keep things on the level possibly not get in trouble.

Welcome to the Forum.

I agree with the idea that a drone helps assess the conditions....but a blind man could see from a block away ...that house needs a few shingles replaced ;)...since you did not mention anything about 107 ...you may consider the suggestion by @MA2 317 ....if you don't know what 107 is...just ask and someone can explain ( too long to explain if it isn't necessary)...hope you have it and good luck with your work and tying the use of the drone into it...sounds like a fun aspect of the job

Welcome to the forum.
I hope you will find our site helpful and look forward to any input , photo's/video's you might post .
Don't be shy and ask anything if you can't find it by searching .Thumbswayup

Welcome to the forum. We look forward to your participation and more of your view of the world.

Great pictures. I can see how they help in your job. But be careful flying over the workers. You have one photo that seems to be shot straight down from above a couple of workers. In most cases, flying directly over people is not legal. If you do it, certainly do not post the evidence!

Welcome to the forum from Chicago the Windy City.
Great shots of the roof, and much easier than climbing on a ladder, I enhanced one of the pictures. Nice close ups, great detail, I use mine to examine the roofs in our senior community. 45 units, easier, then running a ladder up each unit. And, as some one already mentioned, if you're doing it for a business, you should have part 107.

Drones are a great benefit to an ever increasing number of businesses. Nice work on the pictures. Hope you are ax107 Pilot, the FAA enforcement is increasing .What is your practice related to neighborhood notification. I ask because it is such a critical part of my work.

Federal Regulations mandate that you hold a current FAA Part 107 Pilot's License in order to fly for Commercial purposes.
I have had mine for 3 years and have completed the bi-annual recurrent test. It's easy to do it the RIGHT way.
Play it safe. Take the course, learn the laws, take the test, get the license, stay current and fly safely and legally.
This will also allow you to charge others for your services should the opportunity arise.
You'll be glad you did.

Fascinating!! To complete that work in New Zealand under current Health & Safety Regs. the roof edge perimeter would require a scaffold / guardrail installed. Adds significant $$$ to any project like this. Are these 'lax' safety measures ;-) common in North America? Or are Kiwis just over the top??
BTW. Nice photos!!
