So hopefully I'm not the only one having fun with skins. I'm still waiting on a couple of parts to finish mine. They are out of stock at the moment. When it's done the sides of the body and battery will be blue along with all 4 legs. I've spent way more than I'm willing to admit to my wife on stickers. ? I just now got to this point and wanted to share. I'll get better pics once I get the blue and finish it up.

Now let's see yours.

I like the red, white and blue.

That black is SERIOUSLY cool!

As for my skin, well, you see quite a bit of that in any of my videos!

I had this skin on. I can't say for certain, but I think it was hurting my range. I know there are countless factors that go into range so it could have been anything. All I can say is I took it off and my range almost doubled on every flight I've done since.

I've been wondering. My skin has a metallic look. In paint, "metallic" usually means aluminum powder, which is a conductor of electricity. Since adding the skin I've had a few iPad Mini 4 blackouts, which I never had before. Haven't flown any great distance with skin on, so I can't comment on range.

In any case, my most recent blackout resulted in my M2P crashing into a tree. Got it back, but with two broken (but still attached) front landing gear legs--a $300 fix! As much as I love the look of the skin, I'm considering removing it.

Took the drone out today, and flew at same location, same conditions, same weather. No screen blackouts, but my M2P often ignored control inputs and displayed other connectivity anomalies. So I peeled of the skin and put the bird in the air again. Everything was normal! I'll fly again tomorrow and the next day to see if the problem returns.

I saved the skin. Upon returning home, I subjected the skin to my decades-old $50 Radio Shack metal detector. Got no signal. Could only be a few mg of metal in the skin anyway. How could that be enough to cause rfi? Maybe one of those $10,000 detectors the Aussies use to locate nuggets in WA might ping. I don't know.

While I won't draw a conclusion based on a sample of one, I'm not getting another skin. I'd be curious to see if others have similar experiences.

There was a Spark that could never get satellites till he peeled off the cool shiny label.

Finally got the rest of my blue in so I could finish covering it. Mine is WrapGrade also. I had to cut up a red and a white decal for the center of the controller to get the stripes. I'm sure it's not everybody's cup of tea but I think it looks nice in the air.
