Man, that sucks...obviously for most people FCC will be sufficient, but once you've gone 4G transmission, it's whole different ball game.
No worries; I apparently paid only $400 for my A3S Fly More Combo plus a wide angle lens, chargers. ND filters, 5 batteries etc. and a few months later, mysteriously, a Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combol plus ND filters , batteries etc. appeared in my collection, I mean all drones look similar, who's to question if I'm flying an A3S or Mavic 4 Pro.Naturally, I sold it, and bought the Mavic 4 Pro, and told the Mrs that it was "only an extra £100".
She hates it, curses every time, its too high for her to easily get in/out on the rare occasion she travels in it.
I absolutely love your story! I come from a very similar background! I bought this cheap Chinese drone (I know, I know DJI is Chinese as wellIt is genuinely incredible.
I came from a toy drone, back in 2015, which took 1 hour and 45mins to charge, in return for 5-8mins of flying, with no videos transmission or even auto hovering..just basic line of sight operation stuff.
Lost it within the 2nd flight, and whilst it cost me £20, I was still gutted.
I went away from the drone scene for 10 years, and returned with my 2nd drone purchase..an Air 3s Flymore Combo.
Which then followed hours of YouTube videos, only to find that the real demon amongst drones was the Mavic 4 Pro.
Naturally, I sold it, and bought the Mavic 4 Pro, and told the Mrs that it was "only an extra £100"
Happy with the Mavic 4 Pro so far..Just wish someone could create a Wide Angle Lense that does not need to wait for gumball calibration before fitting it etc..
DJI, or some of the other companies, need to get their finger out so I can spend my hard earned money on more unnecessary crap.

Just two days in, I lost control of it and it fell into my backyard swimming pool, but guess what, I did not want to give up, so I ordered some cheap parts on eBay and rebuilt it. Then comes next incident. Freakin drone goes suddenly out of control (again) and flies into my wife's expensive flower bush, so I panicked and tried to grab it, so it does not cause more damage, it cut my finger! Did not need stitches, like the person who posted his drone injuries in other thread, but it was enough, that I dropped my drone interest and all with a huge disappointment. Then, one of my close friends comes over and asks me for opinion for a drone he wants to purchase. It was the DJI Air 3S drone! I heard about DJI before, but never operated one. I told him about my bad experience, but he went forward and purchased it. Then he brings it over to show it to me, and guys, that was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! I ordered my own A3S, literally the same day, I still have it, but wanted to go bigger, with better camera, longer flight time. So when I learned about Mavic drones, using Hasselblad cameras, what NASA used for moon landing, I could not resist and purchased it! So here I am, having my A3S and M4P and I love them both dearly! Not a single regret spending money on them!My current configuration is:
