Mavic FPV app

I got the MAvic FPV app and am using it for my Mavic 2 Pro. I have a decent FPV goggle set ($15 non electronic) and an iPhone 7plus. It’s a cool app for $10 and the head tracking feature is nice but I sometimes have the video feed freeze in mid flight. It’s an inconvenience because then I have to pull my phone out of my goggles and come out and back in to FPV mode. Also I have to have the DJI app open as well for calibration and flight permissions. I’m thinking about getting the Litchi app. Is the Litchi app better and also are there ways around the issues I’m having with the Mavic FPV app or is that just the standard for a $10 app?

Could be your phone.
I have an FPV app I use with an exercise bike and cardboard google goggles. It ran like crap (screen constantly froze up) on my galaxy S8 but runs just fine on my wife’s new Note 10+.
